Ms. Melissa Burkhead holds a B.A. from Georgetown College and a M.A. from The University of Texas at El Paso. She currently teaches Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and BC Calculus at Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth, Texas. Her varied experiences include teaching in Mexico City, Mexico, the El Paso public schools, Austin’s magnet school program and the Episcopal school system. She moderates online dynamic geometry courses with both geometry and algebra focuses for Key Curriculum. She has presented at numerous AP® Conferences and most recently represented The College Board® with a special AP Calculus focus in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. and Bogotá, Colombia.
Ms. Lauren Campbell received her B.A. in English from University of Oklahoma. She taught at the middle school level for two years and has taught high school math for 4 years at all levels, including Pre-AP Geometry and Pre-AP Algebra 2. She is currently pursuing an advanced degree in Mathematics.
Ms. Susan Petrey earned her B.S in Secondary Mathematics from Mississippi State University and her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Texas. She taught high school mathematics (including Algebra 1, Geometry, Pre-AP Geometry, Math Models, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, AP® Calculus) for 23 years. She is a Secondary Curriculum Specialist for Lampasas ISD, has worked as a geometry assessment writer and editor for Laying the Foundations, Inc®., Mathematics Education Instructor for Central Texas College and CSCOPE assessment writer for Region 10 ESC.
Ms. Kathy Pieper is a certified Professional Educational Therapist who has been a math teacher and private tutor for twenty years. She has worked at several Dallas area public and private high schools; the classes she has taught include Algebra through Pre-Calculus. In addition, she has tutored up through college level Calculus (including AP®). Kathy has a B.A. in Mathematics and Statistics from Miami University, and an M.A. in Teaching Mathematical Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is certified in both Secondary Mathematics and Generic Special Education.
Ms. Janet Schofield earned her B.A. from The University of Minnesota at Minneapolis. She has an M.A.T. degree from the University of St. Thomas and a M.S. degree from the University of Texas-Pan American. Janet has taught Mathematics 9-12 for 38 years including several years of overseas experience. She has taught AP® Statistics, Calculus AB and Calculus BC for the past 15 years and served as a lead teacher for AP Strategies. She was an AP National Reader for Statistics for seven years. Ms. Schofield is a National Board Certified Teacher.
Ms. Grace Sherrill earned a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Texas At Austin. She has taught mathematics for 14 years. She has taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, blended Pre - Calculus, Foundations of College Math and AP ® Calculus. She has recently been working on curriculum for an online Pre-Calculus class for her school district.
Mr. Todd Steckler (Team Leader) earned his B.S. from Minot State University in Minot, ND and his M.S. from The University of Texas-Pan American. He has taught Mathematics 8-12 (AP® Calculus AB/BC, APStatistics, Pre-Calculus dual enrollment currently) for the past 25 years. He is an APreader for Calculus. He has been a math department chair for 11 years, a mentor for Stats/Calculus, and currently a member of an online teacher leader cadre (TLC) with Texas Instruments®.
Ms. Lauren Stevenson earned her B.S. in Education from Louisiana State University and her M.Ed. from the UCLA. She taught Algebra I & Geometry (On-Level), Algebra 2 & Pre-Calculus (Pre-AP and project-based) and AP® Calculus AB for 7 years.
